About the products

Since 1995, Pick of the Pieces has been a leader in custom made stepping stones and garden accessories. Mary Jo Sougstad (pictured at right next to daughter, Sierra) has sold her artwork in some of the more reputable art locations in the United States, including:

• the Magic Planter in Sausalito, California;
• Arktos Gallery in Petoskey, Michigan;
• the Saugatuck Art Fair;
• and, the Royal Oak Farmers Market.

Mary Jo's stepping stones have her special mix of concrete as well as other supporting materials to help the artwork remain permanently outside and withstand harsh climate changes. She has hundreds of frames and sizes to create custom stepping stones in the design and size anyone would like to enhance their own garden. She uses china as well as stained glass from around the world.

A variety of shapes as well as custom designs are available. However, text (letters and/or numbers) is unavailable... graphic designs only.

The stepping stones can range in size from just a few inches wide to as much as a two-feet diameter round stepping stone. Weight can thus very from just a few pounds to as much as 35 pounds, depending on the size and make of the stone.
